Tricostar form Partnership with SNT Media Networks to Promote MyLomo

Tricostar have formed a partnership to promote the MyLomo platform to designated local authorities.

Jeff Lawler, Tricostar LLP’s Managing Partner commented,” MyLomo has already proven its ability to deliver the information that people needed to their mobiles when they needed it, but also showing the potential of this new channel for delivering benefits to both the council and its residents. We are delighted to add this product to our portfolio as mobile technologies for delivering services and information is far outstripping more conventional methods of reaching the consumer.”During the recent troubles in London, Sutton’s new Mobile channel, mysutton.mobi, really proved its worth“In the last 6 months we have had in excess of 53,000 unique visitors to “mysutton”, reading over 250,000 web pages.” said Janette Garlick Sutton Borough Councils Head of Customer Services. “We have also seen over 240 different device handsets connect to our service, looking at over 1,400 different mobile optimized web pages”. “This peaked during the riots at almost 30,000 page views in one day as people felt the need to be in contact with their council”The mysutton.mobi service was launched in October 2010, when Sutton Borough Council took advantage of the London MyLoMo network and launched its own pioneering mySutton Mobile site, which enabled residents to access a range of council services, 3rd party services, and crucially up to date local information. The intuitive, easy-to-use site can be accessed by texting the word 'sutton' to 65101 or by typing the word mysutton.mobi directly into the mobile's internet browser. Importantly it was designed to recognize which handset it was being viewed on and optimize accordingly, so ALL RESIDENTS with a mobile phone were catered for and this proved very important during the recent London troublesSutton are now undertaking work to confirm the levels of savings already achieved but planning to implement further services this year to co-ordinate SMS and mobile payments all with a view to delivering cost savings and fully inclusive services.Originally launched in London by Newham, the Mayor of Newham, Sir Robin Wales, said: “This pioneering service provides a great opportunity to supply information in a personalised and convenient way. There’s no excuse to not knowing what’s happening in the borough.”James Lee, Managing Director of SNT Media Networks commented “Tricostar is an exciting and strong addition to our channel partners programme. We are continuing to see a growing demand and appetite within the public sector for cost efficiencies’ and transformational change which myLoMo delivers andTricostar is very well placed to help us accelerate our UK roll out. We look forward to working closely with Tricostar and their clients to deliver these benefits for all.”To find out more about what MyLomo can do, click here to read more. For more information contact Ben Lawler at Tricostar on 0843 523 6543 or ben.lawler@tricostar.preview.vded-zesdig-002.zestdev.com
